Minecraft Seed Map Accuracy
We test SeedMapView against the official Minecraft Java server. Each run creates worlds with random seeds, asks the game for the nearest structures and biomes with /locate, and compares them with the map.
The first test results are published after the first automated run against the real Minecraft server.
FAQ
How is accuracy tested?
For every supported version we start the official Minecraft Java server with random seeds and ask it where structures and biomes are with /locate. We then compare the answers with what SeedMapView shows for the same seeds.
Why is a biome check counted as matching within 160 blocks?
The game samples biomes on a 32-block grid when it searches, while the map scans differently, so both can report slightly different points of the same biome area.
