Java Edition 1.14, Village and Pillage, was released on April 23, 2019. It redesigned villages and added pillager outposts and bamboo jungles. This Minecraft 1.14 seed map shows your world as the 1.14 generator builds it. Enter your seed to find villages, outposts, temples and strongholds near spawn, with exact coordinates.
Villages Got a Complete Redesign
Village and Pillage rebuilt every village. Each one now uses a style that matches its biome:
- plains
- desert
- savanna
- taiga
- snowy tundra
Snowy villages were brand new. Villagers also got jobs tied to job site blocks, so the buildings you find tell you which trades are nearby.
The update also added pillager outposts. These tall dark oak towers house pillagers. At the top, you will find a loot chest, and some outposts keep an iron golem locked in a cage nearby.
New Biomes and Plants
Jungles got two new variants: bamboo jungle and bamboo jungle hills. They are thick with bamboo, and pandas spawn there. Bamboo also grows in regular jungles.
New plants spread across other biomes too. Sweet berry bushes grow in taigas. The new cornflower and lily of the valley flowers appear in plains, forests and flower forests.
Do 1.13 and 1.15 Seeds Match?
Against 1.13, terrain stays mostly the same. However, bamboo jungles take over parts of jungles. Villages look completely different, and pillager outposts add new structures. So a 1.13 village guide will not match this version.
Against 1.15, almost everything matches. Version 1.15 only added bee nests to some trees.
Checking Your Version and Using the Minecraft 1.14 Seed Map
Look at the bottom-left corner of the title screen, or check your profile under Installations in the launcher. Versions 1.14 to 1.14.4 fit this page.
- Turn on village and outpost markers. Know where the outposts are before you settle, since pillagers keep spawning around them.
- Look for bamboo jungles if you want pandas.
- Pick a snowy village for a challenging start.
- Find a savanna or plains village near spawn for easy trading.
Villager Jobs and Trading
In 1.14, villagers take jobs from job site blocks. Here are some of the most useful:
- Lectern: librarian, for enchanted books
- Composter: farmer, for emeralds from crops
- Cartography table: cartographer, for explorer maps
- Blast furnace: armorer
- Grindstone: weaponsmith
- Smithing table: toolsmith
Since village buildings include these blocks, you can tell which jobs exist before you arrive. So pick a village with a library if you want enchanted books early.
Trading is easier when villagers have beds and job blocks. If a village is small, you can add more of both to grow it. On the other hand, raids can wipe out a village fast. So keep an eye on the pillager outposts nearby, and drink milk if you get Bad Omen before you are ready.
With the map, you can compare several villages at once and choose the best one before you leave spawn.
