Seed map › Versions › Bedrock 1.19

Bedrock Edition 1.19, The Wild Update, was released on June 7, 2022, the same day as Java 1.19. It added the deep dark, ancient cities and mangrove swamps. This Minecraft Bedrock 1.19 seed map shows your world with the 1.19 generator. Enter your seed to find ancient cities, mangrove swamps and every Bedrock structure.

The Deep Dark and Ancient Cities

The deep dark is a cave biome far underground. It is covered in sculk, with sculk sensors, shriekers and catalysts scattered around. It tends to form beneath high, inland terrain.

Ancient cities only generate inside the deep dark. They are huge ruins full of loot, from enchanted books to swift sneak. However, the warden guards them. Shriekers summon it when you make noise, so move slowly and quietly.

Mangrove Swamps and New Mobs

Mangrove swamps appear in warm, wet lowlands. They are full of mangrove trees, mangrove roots and mud. Mud is handy, since you can turn it into packed mud and mud bricks.

Other additions tie into the world too:

  • Frogs, whose color depends on the biome where the tadpole grows up
  • Allays, found in pillager outposts and woodland mansions
  • Tadpoles, which grow up into frogs in swamps and mangrove swamps

Seeds Across Bedrock 1.18, 1.20 and Java

Against Bedrock 1.18, the surface terrain stays the same. The deep dark takes over some underground areas, and mangrove swamps replace some swamps.

Against Bedrock 1.20, terrain mostly matches. Cherry groves appear on some slopes, and trail ruins add new structures.

Against Java 1.19, terrain and biomes match for the same seed. Ancient cities, however, may sit in different places, because Bedrock uses its own structure placement.

Checking Your Version and Using the Minecraft Bedrock 1.19 Seed Map

Open Settings and look near the bottom for the version number. Then plan your trip:

  • Turn on the ancient city marker and copy the coordinates.
  • Dig down to the city instead of wandering through the deep dark.
  • Carry wool to block sculk sensors, and sneak everywhere.
  • Use biome colors to find mangrove swamps for mud and frogs.

Sculk Blocks and How to Stay Quiet

The deep dark is full of sculk blocks that react to you:

  • Sculk sensors pick up vibrations, like footsteps, and send a redstone signal.
  • Sculk shriekers scream when triggered. Too many warnings, and the warden appears.
  • Sculk catalysts spread sculk when mobs die near them.

To stay safe, sneak everywhere. Sneaking does not trigger sensors. Wool blocks vibrations, so place it over sensors in your path. Also avoid fighting near catalysts, since every kill spreads more sculk.

With the map, you can dig straight into the city and skip most of the deep dark.

One last warning: shriekers in ancient cities can summon the warden, while shriekers that spread from catalysts cannot. So the city itself is where you need to be most careful. Light it up, keep your noise down and leave the moment your inventory is full.

FAQ

Where do ancient cities generate on Bedrock?

Ancient cities only generate in the deep dark biome, far underground, usually below high terrain.

Are ancient cities in the same place on Java and Bedrock?

Not always. Terrain and biomes match, but Bedrock uses its own structure placement rules.

Where do mangrove swamps appear?

Mangrove swamps appear in warm, wet lowland areas.

What decides a frog's color?

A frog's color depends on the biome where its tadpole grows up.

Does sneaking stop sculk sensors?

Yes. Walking while sneaking does not trigger sculk sensors, which makes it the safest way to move in the deep dark.
